DCS support Caerphilly County Borough Councils Operation Santa Appeal

06/12/2017

Here at DCS we pride ourselves on our Passion, Attitude, Knowledge and Sustainability and while looking for a cause to channel these values into, we came across Operation Santa.

The festive season is fast approaching, and with it is the return of Caerphilly County Borough Council’s annual Operation Santa appeal. Operation Santa aims to provide Christmas gifts for over 600 local children. These children are not helped by any other appeal, and have been nominated by social workers who work with families across Caerphilly County Borough.

DCS is passionate about Operation Santa and has pledged £200 of toys for ages between 5-16 Years. DCS takes pride in helping the community and with this pledge we hope to make some children’s Christmas one to remember. Christmas is a time for sharing and there is no better way than to give to such a worthy cause. By supporting Operation Santa we hope to sustain this amazing cause in the future and encourage others to donate.

Cabinet Member, Cllr Carl Cuss said, “Each year we have so many wonderful gifts pledged for the children it is truly heart-warming to know that we have so many generous and giving residents living in the county. This year is no exception, the gifts are already flooding in and that is fantastic to see as we have our biggest list to date with more than 780 names on it.”

Gary Roberts, MD of DCS said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Operation Santa appeal. As a local business, it is important that we support our community, particularly at the festive time of year. We’re pleased to donate this bundle of toys which will help local children experience the fun of Christmas and childhood.”
