About Us
People are the heart of our business, therefore our culture is one that provides individuals with the ability to take ownership and provide beneficial solutions to both internal and external customers alike.
2006: Foundations
DCS was founded by Gary and Jan Roberts with a mission to deliver quality facilities services to a world-class standard. Our very first cheque of £180 was reinvested into machinery to grow the business. We began by providing cleaning solutions and soft services, later expanding into electrical and plumbing.
With our first office on the Wern Industrial Estate, our team grew to include our first full-time employee, Colin Wright, and we purchased our first company vehicle — the much-loved Fiat Doblo.

2010: Early Growth
By 2010, we had grown significantly in staff and urgently needed more space for our machinery and stock. We moved into a much larger unit on the same industrial estate.
During this period, we secured key clients and built our first long-term partnerships. Our services doubled in scope, and the team grew from just the founding group into a strong, reliable core of staff who would help shape the company’s future.

2015: Expansion
These years marked a major step forward. DCS was completely focused on growth, entering new markets and industries. We secured larger clients while continuing to support those who had been with us from the very beginning.
Our commitment to the community also grew — we supported local charities and even completed the Three Peaks Challenge for Tŷ Hafan. Service development continued, with dedicated teams established for painting and flooring. To support this expansion, we took over another full unit.

2020: Transformation
The pandemic created a complete shift in how we operated. We adapted quickly, with electrostatic spraying becoming one of our most vital services, supporting high-profile businesses and the NHS during an uncertain time. This period was a testament to the resilience and adaptability of DCS.
Even through the challenges, we bounced back stronger than ever. In 2021, we were proud to achieve Investors in People Platinum, a recognition of our commitment to our people and culture. Around the same time, we rebranded, introduced a new fleet of sign-written vans, and refurbished our offices. We expanded further, taking on a third unit, grew our team, and launched our online store — ensuring we were ready for the next stage of growth.

2025: Today & Beyond
The years have flown by, and people remain at the heart of everything we do. DCS continues to focus on building a culture of inspiration and supporting our customers to reach their full potential in safe and sustainable ways.
We are investing in people, products, processes, machinery, and AI to ensure we deliver world-class service, today and into the future.
