Diverse Commercial Solutions Ltd is looking for an experienced and reliable Senior Cleaning Operative to join our team at a prestigious site in Newport.

This is an important role within an established cleaning team, helping us maintain consistently high standards across a professional working environment. The site includes offices, clean room areas, canteen facilities and communal spaces, so we are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of attention to detail.

The Role

Working 30 hours per week, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of cleaning duties across the site. Due to the existing cleaner rota, shifts may alternate or be split across different times of the day, so flexibility is important.

Your duties will include:

• Cleaning offices and workspaces

• Cleaning designated clean room areas in line with site procedures

• Canteen and kitchen cleaning

• Cleaning toilets and communal areas

• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and surface cleaning

• Emptying bins and managing waste appropriately

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene throughout the site

• Carrying out periodic and detailed cleaning tasks as required

• Supporting the wider cleaning team and helping to ensure daily standards are achieved

• Reporting any cleaning, maintenance or site issues to your manager

• Ensuring cleaning materials and equipment are used safely and correctly

  
  

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous commercial cleaning experience

• Is reliable, organised and able to work to a high standard

• Has excellent attention to detail

• Is comfortable working within a prestigious client environment

• Can work independently as well as part of a team

• Is flexible around shift patterns and changing site requirements

• Has a professional and approachable manner

• Understands the importance of confidentiality, health and safety and site procedures

• Previous experience of clean room or controlled-environment cleaning would be an advantage, although training can be provided
